L.A. SALAMI – Sounder Session

Lookman Adekunle Salami, widely known as L.A. Salami, graced our studio for one of the earliest live music video recordings at Arcus Sounds, for our series the Sounder Sessions, — an experience that unfolded uniquely and left a lasting impression.

L.A. Salami has made a significant impact on the indie music scene with his soulful vocals and poetic storytelling, an artist with a profound ability to connect with his audience, L.A. Salami continues to leave an indelible mark on the music landscape, and his Arcus Sounds sessions stands as a testament to his versatility and artistic depth.

Having toured alongside Arcus producer and engineer Danny as his drummer, L.A. Salami brought a special connection to our studio. This session took place during the creation of his 6th studio album, ‘Ottoline,’ released via Sunday Best.

With a distinct vision in mind, L.A. Salami entered our studio with the intention of presenting a completely different version of his upcoming single, ‘Day to Day in the Systemic Pandemic.’ Unlike the rap style featured in the studio recording, he opted for a delicate and beautiful acoustic performance, transforming the essence of the song.

This session marked a pivotal moment as we witnessed the song evolve into a completely unique rendition, capturing the raw beauty of L.A. Salami’s acoustic interpretation. The performance unfolded in front of us, creating a genuine and captivating musical experience.
